The most forgotten step in your skincare routine

Your skin is the largest organ on your body and it’s the only one you‘ll ever have.  It’s important that we take care of it the best that we can. There is one step in our skincare routine that I believe we don’t make as important as we should. Exfoliating.

When we get older, the process of cell regeneration slows down. This means that the body is slower to shed skin cells and generate new ones. When old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of the skin, it can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. This can result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and even acne..

Knowing this, I’ve always made my exfoliating routine just as important as cleansing my face except I make sure to exfoliate at least 2-3 times a week.

I have sampled the best of the best skin care products on the market from Jan Marini, Dr. Perricone and Skin Ceuticals. From the most expensive to the most popular and a lot of them made my skin feel nice, but it just wasn’t affordable for me. Since I am a Beachbody coach I was lucky enough to be introduced to Derm Exclusive. This product has been in my online store for a long time and I’ve finally gotten around to trying a 30 day supply. It was around $39 and was backed by a 30 day money back guarantee so I had nothing to lose. It’s finally a month after I began using Derm Exclusive soley and I still have at least half left. You only use a small amount and it really goes a long way. The first night that I started using the system I was confused because I didn’t find which bottle was the exfoliant so I read the product insert that came with it. (thank goodness for that!) I found that the Micro Peel Resurfacing Pads were what I would use to exfoliate my skin. At first I was a little bummed because I have a love for those little grains in a cooling cream that you normally find in an exfoliant.  Once I tried the resurfacing pad, I fell in love. It was cooling and gritty and made my face feel softer than I could ever remember it feeling. My face looked brighter and my makeup went on incredibly smooth. More importantly it contains 3 ingredients that I look for when I buy any skin care products.

  • Glycolic Acid: to sweep away dead skin cells
  • Salicylic Acid: exfoliates and helps clear your pore to minimize their appearance
  • Malic Acid: gently exfoliates and balances your skin

It’s important to me to know that this has been Dermatologist tested and there are no harmful ingredients such as sulfates, parabens or formaldehyde and I have the confidence of knowing that my skin looks more radiant, fresh and youthful. I’ll be ordering my 2nd 30 day supply within the next few weeks and am glad to have put this product to the test. I’ll attach a link for those who are about to ask ‘where can I find out more?’ These fun little resurfacing pads have become my personal favorite skin care product of all time!
