It’s been such a long time since I’ve made these and lately I have been craving something that I can grab on the go. This healthy ball of protein and energy is packed with amazing super foods all rolled into one bite. There is no way you can compare the ingredients that are packed in this precious little ball. You’d have to spend well over $400 by buying a 30 day pack of your favorite cheaper version of protein powder and then purchasing all of the other ingredients that are already resting happily in 1 bag of Shakeology. (ex: chia seeds, quinoa, cacao, wheatgrass, acai berry, coconut flower nectar, prebiotics, flax seed meal, gingko, goji berry, grape seed, green tea, pea fiber, spinach, and whey protein just to name a few). Anyway, I just get so excited when I can add my Shakeology into other foods besides a quick shake (although, I’m pretty in love with those too!)
Today’s household hit: Shakeology no-bake protein bites. They turned out quite decadent. You’ve got to give these a try!
Total Time: 10 min.
Prep Time: 10 min.
Yield: 25 cookies
• 1 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
• 1 cup quick cooking oats
• ½ cup honey
• 1 cup Chocolate Shakeology
1. Combine peanut butter, honey, oats and Shakeology in medium bowl. Mix well.
2. Roll 24 balls, each the size of 1 tbsp.
3. Flatten each slightly so takes on the shape of a traditional cookie.
VOILAAAAAAA! They’re done!
They may look big in the picture but they are really about 1.5 inches in size or about 1.5 tablespoons worth + 1 almond. With the specific ingredients that I used it comes out to being 1 ROLL = 109 calories! Score!!! These help me curb those chocolate cravings and late night grazing. But, even better…. right before I dropped off my daughter for softball practice she begged me to pack her one for afterwards. I love that she liked it because usually I’ve got to get creative with the ways I feed her healthy foods. She is such a picky eater. You’ve got to try these! If you are creative with your Shakeology I would love to hear from you. Please leave me a comment and let me know how you use yours.
