Playin’ with my Spiral Slicer

Once I received the Kitchen Supreme Spiral Slicer in the mail I was a little intimidated but since I am the kitchen gadget queen I HAD to find a way to use it. I literally had no clue what to do with it so it sat on my kitchen counter for at least a week and a half. Then when I started browsing social media I started seeing pictures of shredded (yet beautiful) healthy meals and I noticed people were using the hashtag #spiralslicer. YAY!!! I’m not the most creative person on this planet but I am a huge foodie. I adore it, I love looking at it, smelling it, mixing it together, cooking it and eating it. These meals looked like a ton of fun and I didn’t realize how SIMPLE it was.

Yesterday I brought home zucchini because I wanted to try making “zoodles”. Zoodles are zucchini strings that take the place of regular pasta. (ehhhhh, nothing can taste like real pasta) BUT it is a good alternative if you want to eat healthy.

My Spiralizer came in a little kit with a few extras: The Kitchen Supreme Spiralizer + Flexible Cleaning Brush + Spiral Slicer Recipes Digital Cookbook + Rapid Results Digital Guidebook – 101 Power Tips for a Fitter, Healthier You + Storage Bag.

What isn’t listed is the top that came with the slicer. When you spin your veggies down low its hard to keep twisting to use the entire veggie so the holder/lid pokes some spikes into the vegetable and holds it still so you can get the most out of it. That part was a necessity. Don’t buy a spiralizer without one, I promise. You’ll need it.
One whole zucchini made for A LOT of zoodles. Maybe enough for 2 adults to eat. I then browned up some lean ground turkey, tossed on some pasta sauce and sprinkled it with parmesan cheese. I literally made my meal within 12 minutes.

The best part of having a spiral slicer is that you can replace high carb pasta with healthy colorful veggies ones, save time from slicing, dicing and julienning and your veggies will look great and keep nutrients and minerals alive. It’s also super easy to clean.

I can’t wait to make hashbrowns for the kids with this lil gem. That will be my next adventure in the kitchen…

Where did I get mine? I got it here on Amazon. for $15.84 (There are other slicers for super cheap but I highly recommend paying the extra few dollars so you get the whole bundle)

Feel free to share some recipes with me in the comments below if you already have one and use it often. XOXO

** I received this product free in exchange for an unbiased review **
